Final Exam

Overview: 

This class has taught me how I can incorporate technology into the classroom in easy inexpensive ways that I had previously not known about.  The assignments and projects of this class have taught me more advanced uses of technology that is already available to me and how I can incorporate these technological tools for more meaningful purposes.  This assignment was extremely valuable to me because it taught me some funcitons and capabilities of a program that I have been using for a long time that I never new existed.

Assignment 1: Lesson Plan:

Reflection of Assignment 1: This project taught me how to more effectively use Microsoft Word and use some of the functions of Word that I was unaware of.  This assignment introduces me to such things as word wrap, how to use the reference function to creat citations within the text; while also providing some insight and practice on how to create lesson plans.  This assignment taught me also how to make a Microsoft Word document more aesthetically appealing.   

 

Assignment 2: Excell Spreadsheet

Reflection of Assignment 2:

 

This assignment taught me that Microsoft Excell has numerous functions and capabilities besides those involving mathematics and statistical data.  This assignment taught me how to enter text and data into a worksheet, format that text and data, create and utilize simple formulas, and also how to create a graph that can visually represent numerical and written data.  This assignment was valuable because it provided a new perspective and insights on diverse ways to utilize this program.

 

Assignment 3: Construct a survey and Powerpoint Presentation:

Reflection of Assignment 3:

 

This assignemnt enabled us as a group to conduct our own research on a topic of interest to us and then present the information of our research to the class using a Microsoft Powerpoint to visually represent our data.  This project taught me how one conduct a quick research or fact finding endeavor quickly and share that information immediately with others utlilizng “google docs”.  The ability to share, edit and review information makes the research and editing process a smoother operation for all involved in the project.  This assignment provided me with an opportunity to conduct mine, and the others in my group to conduct new research which we then organized into a presentation about a topic of interest and concern to many of the students in the classroom.

 

Reflection of Assignment 4:

 

This assignment was unique to me as I have never been asked to create or edit my own website.  This assignment was extremely interesting because I had the opportunity to create something original and decide how I wanted to present the information on a pesonalized website.  This assignment taught me how to do all those things and afforded me the opportunity to create and present infromation in a unique and interesting way that has the opportunity and potential to provide a more meaning for the students.
